How Do We Resolve Your Foundation When There Are Drains & Culverts in The Way?

The fist step is for us to undertsand what you want to build and where the offending drain or culvert is in relation to your build.

We always reccomend that we undertake a site visit first to see what progress has been made to date, to get more information on the drain or culvert, to find out who is involved and more importantly what requirements they have prior to allowing you to proceed with your foundation.

Once we have undertaken the site visit and made our further enquiries back at the office we are fully armed with all of the knowledge of the what we are building, where we are building it, where is the drain/culvert in relation to the building, who is involved and what there expectations are that need to be satisfied, we can get to work.

The first thing we do is come up with a proposal for the works we will undertake which will allow the foundation to be installed without impacting the drain or culvert.

Along with this we come up with protection measurements to ensure that the drain or culvert is monitored and most importantly you can evidence that the drain or culvert was not damaged during the building of your project, meaning if there are any issues in the future you have the evidence to prove it was not due to the works which you had undertaken.

With all of these well placed plans in place, we then undertake the works as per the specification we provided.

Prior to pouring the concrete we will get an inspection from building control to pass the works and we will have a final inspection to ensure there has been no damage to the drains or culverts.

Once these final checks are done the concrete is poured, your drain issue has been overcome and you can carry on with your build as if it is just an ordinary build.
