Today, we completed the piled foundation for a single-storey home extension in the Stalybridge area of Manchester in less than 6 hours.
Piling was recommended due to poor ground, and in order to propose the most efficient and economical piling scheme, our Technical Director Jonathan completed a free site visit and site survey report the next working day after initial contact.
Our piling proposal was accepted by the customer, and the piling team of Sean and Carl arrived on site at 8:00am on 13th June. 13 hours had been allocated to complete the piled foundation, but they it in less than 6. Here’s a timeline:
- 08:00am – 10:06am: Drove x5 150mmø mini-piles to depths of 4 metres
- 10:06am – 10:53am: Installed 12m of 500 x 350mm steel ring beam and passed building inspection
